12/29 – Found an available car art a New Hampshire dealer

12/30 – Approved for car loan, changed flight home to NH

12/31 – Can’t get loan check delivered to NH tomorrow due to holiday. Gonna spend an extra day in NH.

12/31 @ 2:00pm – Caught bus to O’hare

12/31 @ 2:23pm – Notified that might flight is delayed an hour. Will probably miss connecting flight.

12/31 @ 3:30pm – Arrived terminal 1. Rebooked by AA on United. Walked to terminal 3 to check in. Walked to gate F27 (of 28) in terminal 2. At gate @ 4:30.

12/31 @ 10:00pm – Tucked safely in my hotel in NH for a quiet (except for the three partying hockey teams) New Year’s Eve.

1/1/16 – All paperwork completed, just waiting on a check from the bank tomorrow.

1/2 – It’s mine! Only 552 miles to friend Joan’s house in Pennsylvania.

1/3 – After a quick stop to see Jeff and family in Naperville I made it to Rockford for the night. Another 592 miles down.

1/4 – 885 miles to Liberal, KS today. (This is where Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz lived.)

1/5 – 823 miles to Jo Ann’s in Phoenix. After dinner and a short visit I decided to complete my trip that night.

1/6@ 1:45am – Arrived home after almost 3,400 miles!

 

 

 

Here are my past cars.

My first car. Passed down from Grandma Rooney, Mom and Dad rolled it on my 16th birthday then let me drive it.
1972 Dodge Dart – My first car. Passed down from Grandma Rooney, Mom and Dad rolled it on my 16th birthday then let me drive it.

After some restoration Jeff and I drove this in high school and college.
1978 Ford Courier – After some restoration Jeff and I drove this in high school and college.

My first new car.
1988 Toyota Tercel – My first new car. No frills, but served me well.

Purchased from girlfriend's parents after the dead gangbangers and bullet holes were removed.
1984 GMC Vandura -Purchased from girlfriend’s parents after the dead gangbangers and bullet holes were removed.

Not my car, but honorable mention for Dad letting me drive it brand new on New Year's Eve.
1990 Toyota Celica – Not my car, but honorable mention for Dad letting me drive it brand new on New Year’s Eve.

Replaced the van after it was hit by three cars and a motorcycle.
1996 Izusu Rodeo – Replaced the van after it was hit by three cars and a motorcycle.

This car was a lot of fun until it got run off the road by a white Chevy pickup on the way to Vegas.
2000 Toyota Celica GTS – This car was a lot of fun until it got run off the road by a white Chevy pickup on the way to Vegas.

Replaced the Celica and lasted until it was replaced by a minivan for the family.
2004 Acura RSX Type S – Replaced the Celica and lasted until it was replaced by a minivan for the family.

Not as fun as the Acura, but very functional for the family.
2005 Toyota Sienna – Not as fun as the Acura, but very functional for the family.

Originally my wife's car, but I got it instead of the minivan when we separated.
2004 Toyota 4Runner – Current car. Originally my wife’s car, but I got it instead of the minivan when we separated.
